When you visit Eliteboutique.ie, certain technical information may be collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and general website usage information.

Where non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used, they will be subject to the cookie consent choices presented to you.

We may use your personal information to:

  • communicate sourcing options, availability and pricing;
  • process and manage orders;
  • take deposits and payments;

Our Legal Bases for Processing

Under GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal data.

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on:

  • Pre-contractual steps and performance of a contract – for example, responding to a sourcing request, preparing an order, processing a deposit, arranging delivery and handling returns;
  • Legal obligations – including accounting, tax and consumer-law requirements;
  • Legitimate interests – for matters such as customer service, website security, preventing misuse and administering our business, provided those interests do not override your rights;
  • Consent – where required, including optional marketing communications and certain cookies or tracking technologies.

Product Images and Sourcing Information

To carry out a sourcing request, we may need to show a supplier or marketplace the product photograph, screenshot, model name or reference you have provided so that they can identify suitable options.

We will only share information that is reasonably necessary for the sourcing request. We do not normally need to provide a supplier with your personal contact details merely to search for a product.

If personal information must later be shared with a supplier, courier or other service provider to fulfil an order, we will limit this to the information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Who We May Share Information With

We do not sell personal information.

We may share relevant personal data with trusted third parties where necessary to operate the service, including:

  • website hosting and IT service providers;
  • payment service providers;
  • suppliers and marketplaces involved in sourcing or fulfilling an order;
  • couriers and delivery providers;
  • email and communications providers;
  • professional advisers such as accountants where necessary; and
  • public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

These recipients receive only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

WhatsApp Communications

If you choose to communicate with Eliteboutique through WhatsApp, your communications are also processed through WhatsApp and its associated service providers in accordance with their own privacy terms.

Please use WhatsApp only if you are comfortable using that service for your enquiry or order communication.

Payments

Payments may be processed through authorised third-party payment providers.

Eliteboutique does not store or have access to your complete payment-card details where payments are processed directly by those providers.

We may retain transaction information such as your name, payment amount, date, payment reference and order information for accounting, customer-service and legal purposes.

Cookies and Analytics

Eliteboutique.ie may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website usage and measure the effectiveness of our online activity.

Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies will only be used where the required consent has been obtained.

You can change or withdraw your cookie choices through the cookie controls available on the website.

For more information, please read our Cookie Policy.

Marketing Communications

We will only send marketing communications by email, SMS, WhatsApp or similar channels where we have an appropriate lawful basis to do so.

Where marketing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Service messages relating to a sourcing request, order, payment, delivery or customer-support matter are not marketing communications.

International Transfers

Some suppliers, marketplaces or technology providers used in connection with our sourcing service may be located outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA and GDPR requires safeguards, we will rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.

We aim to avoid sharing customer personal information outside the EEA unless it is reasonably necessary for the relevant service or order.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as we are legally required to retain it.

As a general guide:

  • sourcing enquiries that do not result in an order may be retained for a reasonable period to allow us to respond, follow up and deal with related enquiries, after which information that is no longer required will be deleted;
  • order, payment, invoice and accounting records may be retained for at least six years where required for tax and business-record purposes;
  • customer-support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the issue and protect the legitimate interests of the business or customer;
  • marketing information based on consent will be retained until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer required; and
  • cookie and analytics information is retained according to the settings and retention periods applicable to the relevant service.

Irish Revenue generally requires businesses to retain relevant accounting and transaction records for six years. Personal information that is no longer needed for any lawful purpose will be deleted or securely disposed of.

How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no website, email system or internet-based communication method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Data Protection Rights

Subject to the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • request deletion of your personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain processing;
